Trenchless Sewer Repair actually consists of multiple steps and options. The theme that connects each of the procedures revolves around the word trenchless. In decades past, a sewer line issue brought to a client’s mind the sinking thoughts of allowing lawns and gardens to be destroyed in the process of fixing your sewer line problem.

In the current, updated sewer repair environment, the trenchless sewer repair processes allow Mr. Rooter Detroit to diagnose and mend any sewer pipeline issue without damaging your property, either indoor building floors and walls, or outdoor lawns and gardens. Sewer Camera Inspection

Trenchless sewer repairs usually begin with a sewer camera inspection. These are internal sewer pipeline camera inspections. The camera inspection allows our technician to identify exactly what is causing the issues our client is experiencing.

Once the issue has been identified, the proper trenchless repair procedure can be implemented. There are three main trenchless repair procedures.

Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting utilizes high-pressure water and a specialized jetting head fixture that scours the inside of pipes to a clean smooth surface. This procedure can be used to clean a pipe that is corroded on the inside. Corrosion can cause slow water draining. The water pressure used is also high enough to break apart and remove any obstruction that is blocking the flow of the draining water.

Once corrosion is removed, the pipe is inspected with the sewer camera again. The technician will want to confirm that the cleaning was completed entirely. Occasionally addition cracks that were camouflaged by the rough surface will also be noted. In this case additional repair options will be discussed.

Pipe Lining

Pipe lining is a trenchless method of coating the interior of a cleaned pipe with a new lining. The lining is a resin that covers and closes cracks. It provides a new pipe inside the old pipe. No pipe removal is necessary. This process can be completed within hours.

Pipe Bursting

Pipe Bursting is a trenchless method of replacing a pipe that has too much damage for the pipe lining option to be effective. Pipe bursting, even though it replaces the original pipe, does not require the digging up and removing of the old pipe. Instead, the new pipe, fixed with a pipe bursting attachment, is drawn into the original pipe. The original pipe acts as the guideline for the new pipe to follow. As the new pipe is drawn into the old pipe, the pipe bursting head breaks the old pipe into fragments and pushes them into the surrounding soil. At the end of the process a new pipe is in place. The yard has not changed.
