How Excavation Services Work

We’ll bring heavy digging equipment, like backhoes, onsite during our excavation services. Using these digging machines, we’ll carefully unearth the sewer line without damaging it. We do this by digging two long trenches on each side, providing easy access for repairs.

Once the pipes are exposed, we’ll get started with your open-top sewer line repair. We’ll identify the defective sections of the sewer line and replace them with new pipe sections. We can even replace the whole sewer line using this method.

After the repair, we’ll use our digging equipment to fill in the trenches and rebury the pipe.

Commercial Plumbing and Excavation FAQs

Is there a faster way to repair a sewer line than excavation?

Sewer line excavation used to be the only way to repair a sewer line. Now, trenchless sewer line repair methods like PipePull achieve the same result in less time and without all the digging.

Trenchless sewer and water line repair methods involve drilling a small access hole in the damaged line. Once the hole has been drilled, an inflatable pipe liner is inserted into the line. This liner is then inflated and cured, where it functionally replaces the new pipe.

Compared to traditional excavation methods, trenchless repairs take significantly less time and cause almost no damage to the area around the pipe. Most repairs take less than a day, and the results are just as good as full removal and replacement. If you’re concerned about how long excavation will take, trenchless repairs are an excellent way to save time and minimize stress.
